Dr. Jack Aiello is a professor of Psychology at Rutgers - The State University of New Jersey. At Rutgers, in addition to his membership on the graduate faculty in Psychology, he is also a member of the graduate faculty in Industrial Relations and HR.


Dr. Aiello combines an academic career with consulting assignments with a number of major U.S. corporations. In his ten year consulting relationship with AT&T and Bell Telephone Laboratories, Dr. Aiello has developed and presented numerous programs, including the Emerging Leaders, Quality of Worklife, Executive Development, and Business Skill Development Programs. As the regional consultant to State Farm Insurance's seven state Northeastern region for seven years, Dr. Aiello has worked with all aspects of human resources and management development, was counsel to division/senior management, oversaw and developed company training programs (including Affirmative Action), and facilitated the annual employee attitude survey and follow-through. During the past 8 years he has collaborated with Roosevelt Thomas, The American Institute for Managing Diversity, the Sable Group and K. Iwata Associates to develop and deliver numerous Diversity programs to organizations. Other recent clients include: Aon Corp, Aventis Pharmaceuticals, Bell Communications Research, Dell Computer Corporation, Eastman Kodak, General Motors, Hewlett Packard, Perkin-Elmer Corporation, and Rockwell International.

An active researcher, Dr. Aiello has published more than 50 articles and book chapters and has given more than 200 invited addresses at professional meetings and business organizations. In 1992 and 1993 he was a U.S. Navy-ASEE distinguished faculty fellow in the Organizational Systems department of the Navy Personnel and Research Development Center in San Diego. Dr. Aiello`s work in the areas of leadership, team development, stress and stress management, diversity, culture and communication, gender, feedback, organizational change, and the impact of new technologies in the workplace has been recognized by his election to fellow status in the American Psychological Association, American Psychological Society, and the American Association of Applied and Preventative Psychology. 

Dr. Aiello received his Ph.D. in Social and Organizational Psychology from Michigan State University. He also holds a Masters degree in Communications from Queens College and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the City College of New York.
